Procedure testings

Who requests process qualifications/procedure testings?

The qualification/certification of processes are a fundamental part of all welding technological quality systems and thus an important requirement for the welding technological manufacturing.

To be able to weld e.g. according to DIN EN 1090-2 or in the scope of the pressure equipment directive, the welding procedures has to be qualified.

Today everything has to go fast!

We know that our costumers have to react fast and flexible to diverse requirements and that the implementation of certification processes is subject to ever shorter periods of time. Together with you we hit the ground running, thus your WPQ test is our highest priority.

Our costumer promise is the  presence of the WPQR within 15 business days - at no extra charge, without a catch.
Of course we also offer the report a a certified WPQR according to pressure device directive 2014/68/EU.

You need the inspection results shortly? We invite you to use our Express-Service.

You need a procedure testing or professional consulting for the implementation and preparation e.g. according to the following codes?

  • AD 2000 HP 2-1
  • AD 200 HP 5/2
  • ASME Section IX
  • DIBt guideline
  • DIN EN 13134 (hard brazing)
  • DIN EN ISO 14555 (stud welding)
  • DIN EN ISO 15614 (fusion and pressure welding)
  • Suitability test reinforced steel accoring to DIN 4099

Procedure test can be carried out for you for a welding relevant metallic materials and virtually all welding procedures. Furthermore we qualify the following procedures: thermal cutting, flame straightening, punching, thermal spraying and hard brazing. Of course we consult you on the ideal choice of test pieces and parameters and the generation of a instruction (e.g. pWPS)

We also support you with the implementation of the procedure in your manufacturing process. It will be reviewed  in our own laboratory - accredited according to DIN EN IDO 17025.

In which areas do we qualify?

  • Building industry
  • Steel construction
  • Lightweigt construction (Aluminium)
  • Reinforced steel/composite components
  • Pressure devices
  • Pipeline construction
  • Plant construction
  • (Electric) mechanical engineering
  • Railway vehicles
  • Automotive
  • International (e.g. according to ASME/AWS)

What do we offer?

  • Technical consulting for welding, cutting and brazing processes
  • Support with the planning and preparation of qualification examinations
  • Acceptance of qualification examinations
  • Non-destructive and destructive test procedures in our accredited laboratory
  • Generation of the report for the qualification of the procedure (e.g. WPQR)
  • Training of your personnel in theory and practice

Your advantages at a glance

  • Fast availability of the WPQR within 4 weeks - without extra charge, without a catch (after receipt of your test pieces and the documentation)
  • Professional consulting to th scopes of application beforehand
  • Optimized selection of the test pieces/test procedures - that saves time and money
  • Short-time scheduling for acceptance on-site
  • Support by our experts
  • Fast material testings in our in-house DAkkS-accredited laboratory

Why a procedure testing...

 ...for hard brazing?

Procedure testings for the hard brazing according to DIN EN 13134 can be necessary because of guidelines, costumer demand or as a part of the own quality assurance. We help you with a useful selection of test procedures, the creation of a temporary procedure instruction and the immediate derivation of the brazing certificate according to DIN EN ISO 13585 guideline 2014/68/EU.

…and with flame cutting, flame straightening or punching?

In the scope of application according to DIN EN 1090-2/-3 the suitability of thermal cutting processes (flame cutting/plasma cutting) has to be checked regularly. Dependent on the execution class (EXC 2 to EXC4) there are accurately defined requirements to roughness, perpendicularity and and slant tolerance as well as the hardness of the cut surface. The test pieces are tested with a test procedure that is developed and accredited specifically for this purpose.

What are we also able to do?

  • Welders qualification according to DIN EN ISO 9606-1 to -5
  • Welders qualification according to DIN EN 287-6 (cast iron)
  • operator qualification according to DIN EN ISO 14732
  • Solderer qualification according to DIN EN ISO 13585
  • Qualification thermal sprayer according to DIN EN ISO 14918
  • Assistance with the generation of pWPS etc.
  • Welding specific software solultions
